How to Clean Sterling Silver Jewelry at Home

A) Soap & Water (Gentle Everyday Clean)

1. Mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water.
2. Dip a soft cloth or sponge into the solution.
3. Gently rub the jewelry to remove surface dirt.
4. Rinse with clean water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

B) Baking Soda Paste (For Moderate Tarnish)

1. Combine 2 parts baking soda with 1 part water to form a paste.
2. Apply with a soft cloth and rub gently in small circles.
3. Rinse well and dry with a microfiber cloth.

C) Baking Soda + Aluminum Foil (For Heavy Tarnish)

1. Line a bowl with aluminum foil, shiny side up.
2. Place your jewelry on the foil.
3. Sprinkle baking soda generously over the pieces.
4. Pour hot (not boiling) water to cover. Wait 2–3 minutes.
5. Rinse and dry completely.

Note: Avoid this method for jewelry with intentionally oxidized (blackened) details, soft gemstones, or fragile adhesives.

D) Silver Polishing Cloths & Cleaners
